I am not a medical professional. This blog is solely for the purpose of writing about my experiences and research. Please educate yourself and consult your health care provider.
I am a patient. This blog is intended to help you find some delicious, healthy recipes and, if you like, learn more about my health issues. It is my hope that if you share in some of these issues, you might learn from from my experiences to help you on your own journey.
I also hope that you have a good doctor to help you on this journey, which can make all the difference. To me, a good doctor is one who trusts you to know your own body, helps you take responsibility for your health, and supports you to “care for your body as if you’ll live forever, care for your soul as if you’ll die tomorrow.”
If you’re looking for a good doctor, I have found confidence and support in mine who is a Functional Medicine trained physician. There are more and more F.M. trained Nurse Practitioners and Physician’s Assistants, as well, and many of them take a variety of insurance providers. You can search for a F.M. practitioner in your area here.
